Frequently Asked Questions

Will Physiotherapy help my condition?

Physiotherapy is able to help people with a wide variety of conditions. We can help to ease your pain and restore your movement, flexibility and function after an injury. If you are unsure, please ring our office and one of our friendly staff members can advise you whether physiotherapy would be appropriate for your condition.

Does my private health insurance cover Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is covered under the Extras Cover of your health fund. You can check with your fund to find out your level of cover.

Does Medicare cover Physiotherapy?

If you have a chronic condition, Medicare may cover you for up to five treatments under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) system. *(Medicare covers about 60% of the cost of your first visit and about 70% of subsequent visits. To access Medicare's EPC you will need to obtain an EPC referral from your local doctor before you see us.)

Do I need a doctor's referral?

No, a doctor's referral is not necessary unless you are covered under Workers Compensation, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Veteran's Affairs or Medicare's Enhanced Primary Care (EPC).

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes. That way we can arrange an appointment for you that gives us time to assess and treat your condition fully and properly. If you are in a lot of pain please let our receptionist know and we will do our best to get you in as soon as possible.
